The monthly e-newsletter we do for the Bipartisan Cafe provides a forum for the residents of Montavilla and Mt. Tabor to keep up on neighborhood festivities like the Montavilla Farmers Market and Bipartisan regulars apprised of the cafe's regular events.

To the left are the latest menus of the Observatory Lounge at 8115 SE Stark Street in Montavilla. We strongly recommend everything on the menu, but our favorites are the sirloin, the oregano fry bread and Chelsey's Bellini. Our mouths were watering nonstop while working on this menu...
Be Nourished Brochure
We wrote the copy for this brochure but cannot take credit for the fabulous graphic design. (Isn't it breathtaking?) This is one of our favorite clients, a business called Be Nourished that helps women with struggling with body acceptance with a mix of services, including counseling, yoga, workshop and retreats.
Montavilla Wellness Movement
The Montavilla Wellness Movement includes the businesses of Montavilla Family Chiropractic and the Portland Yoga Studio. The client wanted to create a portal under the movement name that led to the studio and the clinic. All of these sites were created with WordPress. We also designed all three logos.
National MS Society, Oregon Chapter Annual Report
This was created to provide National MS Society board members with a quick overview of the cause in order to recruit donors and high level volunteers.
Oregon Weight Loss Surgery
The graphic design for this print advertisement, which appeared in Horizon Air Magazine, was done by Jeri McMaster. We completed the copywriting after meeting with the client with Jeri and learning stats that informed our understanding of the need for this surgery in some cases.
Children with Worms E-newsletter
Ginny Hare did the lion's share of the work on this one, but hired us to help her create an eye-catching banner with photographs and a memorable name ("Quarterly Dose"). Other than that banner, Ginny did all of the work on this piece and is an excellent technical marketing writer who specializes in public health technology. The "Children with Worms" logo and banner was designed by someone else.
Kate Kirkham Acupuncture Brochure
We wrote and designed this brochure for Montavilla-based acupuncturist Kate Kirkham. We tried to create something that reflected Kate's warm personality and gave people worthy reasons to consider acupuncture.
Montavilla East Tabor Walking Map
This is a walking map for the businesses in the Montavilla East Tabor area. Mainly, it includes the businesses along Southeast Stark St. between SE 76th Avenue and I-205. Highlights of the neighborhood include the Bipartisan Cafe, the Academy Theater and the Country Cat Dinnerhouse & Bar.
Montavilla Farmers Market Poster
With the 2008 Montavilla Farmers Market poster we strived to create a sense of home-spun aesthetics infused with a sense of fun and celebration that the market represents for the Montavilla neighborhood. This market is located at 7600 SE Stark St., just down the street from Flying Pie Pizzeria and Bipartisan Cafe.
Old House Dahlias Press Release
We wrote this press release to promote Old House Dahlias' annual Dahlia Fest, held each September from owner Mark Harvey's home and base of operations for his dahlia enterprise. This release highlights Harvey's one-acre field of dahlias in the South Waterfront district right next to the Meriwether.
Prairie Dog Pottery Brochure
This project was among our first and favorites. James Kasper of Prairie Dog Pottery in Iowa is an incredibly talented potter and a generous supporter of his fellow artists. He is a truly unique individual and was a joy to work with.
WE did the graphic design and helped write the copy, although Kasper had a pretty good idea about what he wanted to say. Kasper also had us create t-shirs for customers and friends with the prairie dog footprint that said, "Haste makes wasters." It's an inside joke in the world of ceramics, but we don't claim to know what it means.
Stark Construction Flyer

Street Yoga Flyer
Street Yoga is a unique Portland non profit that provides yoga and the values of self-care to homeless youth. This is a flyer we created pro bono for a fundraising can drive that they held in 2005. Find out more at www.streetyoga.org.
